The History of Curzon Hall

Curzon Hall is a structure in Dhaka, Bangladesh, that has an extremely fascinating history. It was significant in  numerous political battles and is  moment a vital part of traditional education. The University of Dhaka has a academy of Science division, of which the Curzon Hall is a part thereof. Its massive structure stands as a monument to the heritage of education in the  megacity. therefore a dream that didn't come true for its creator came as important as its original purpose was meant to be. Visiting Curzon Hall isn't only a  trip into the  history, but it's an architectural masterpiece to  phenomenon at.

 The Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon, had a vision – wanted to  produce a spectacular  city hall for the  megacity. In the time 1904 the foundation for this  stirring  structure was laid, but due to the partitioning of Bengal, the Curzon Hall came Dhaka College in 1911. It took up its position as part of the  wisdom division of the Dhaka University in 1921. The hall was also the scene of the pupil  insurrection against the language policy that Mohammed Ali Jinnah tried to  put.   When examining the structure of the Curzon Hall, it's easy to see why  utmost believe it's one of the  high  exemplifications of armature in the  megacity. It's a unique combination of Mughal and European designing styles and the traditional  art of the time was made to  mix exquisitely with the  ultramodern features. The red coloring of the  structure is extremely unique considering that red sandstone wasn't used. It also features beautiful  belvederes and  stirring eaves.

All these structures are  monuments to the development of the  megacity and are as important to the locals of Dhaka  moment, as they were when they were constructed. As an architectural wonder and home to  wisdom, the Curzon Hall is an indelible  magnet.
