Essay - Computer

Introduction: Computer is an electric brain. It works like a human brain. It is the most useful and wonderful invention of modern science. Now we cannot imagine a single moment without this wonderful invention. It is an inseparable part of our modern life. It has made our life easy. History of invention: Computer was not invented overnight. It took a long time. Charles Babbage, a British mathematician, thought about this electric brain first. For this, he wrote a formula. Later an American scientist, Howard Akin invented computer in 1937.

Kinds and functions: There are two kinds of computer. They are Analogue Computer and Digital Computer. Usually Digital Computer is used. A computer mainly does three functions. These are data receiving, data processing and delivery of data.

How works: A computer has some units. The units have respective functions. It has a memory unit. It helps to store all the data. The input and output units help to receive information. Its arithmetic unit is an important one. This unit can do a complicated calculation so easily.

Its uses: Now computer is used in all walks of our life. It is used in education. It is used to prepare results. It is used in printing books, preparing lessons etc. Computer plays an important role in diagnosis. Almost every doctor uses computer to diagnose diseases. Computer helps print and electronic media. Newspapers are printed quickly for it. Business, commerce, mills, factories, agriculture sector use computer. Modern banking system greatly depends on computer. 

Demerits: It has some demerits. As it is doing almost every work, we are becoming idle. Besides, it is increasing unemployment problem. So, social and national problems are on the rise.

Conclusion: In the end, we can say that we cannot imagine our life without the help of computer. It is being used for the welfare of mankind. It has made our life easy and comfortable. It has lessened our time. In fact, the invention of computer is a blessing for us.

ভূমিকা : কম্পিউটার একটি বৈদ্যুতিক মস্তিষ্ক। এটা মানুষের মস্তিস্কের মতো কাজ করে। এটা আধুনিক বিজ্ঞানের সবচেয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় ও বিস্ময়কর আবিষ্কার। বর্তমানে আমরা এই বিস্ময়কর আবিষ্কার ছাড়া একটি মুহূর্ত কল্পনা করতে পারি না। এটা আমাদের আধুনিক জীবনের একটি অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ। এটা আমাদের জীবনকে সহজ করেছে।

আবিষ্কারের ইতিহাস : কম্পিউটার রাতারাতি আবিষ্কার হয়নি। এটা আবিষ্কার হতে দীর্ঘ সময় নিয়েছিল। চাৰ্লচ ব্যাবেজ, একজন ব্রিটিশ গণিতবিদ, প্রথমে এই বৈদ্যুতিক মস্তিষ্ক সম্পর্কে চিন্তা করেছিলেন। তিনি এর জন্য একটি সূত্র লিখেছিলেন। পরবর্তীতে ১৯৩৭ সালে একজন আমেরিকান বিজ্ঞানী, হাওয়ার্ড একিন কম্পিউটার আবিষ্কার করেছিলেন।

প্রকারভেদ এবং কাজ : দুই ধরনের কম্পিউটার আছে। একটি হলো এনালগ এবং অপরটি ডিজিটাল কম্পিউটার। সচরাচর ডিজিটাল কম্পিউটার ব্যবহৃত হয়। প্রধানত কম্পিউটার তিনটি কাজ করে। এগুলো হলো তথ্য গ্রহণ, তথ্য প্রক্রিয়াকরণ এবং তথ্য বিতরণ।

কিভাবে কাজ করে : কম্পিউটারের কিছু একক রয়েছে। এককগুলো নিজ নিজ কাজ করে। এর একটি মেমোরি ইউনিট আছে। এটা সকল তথ্য জমা করতে সাহায্য করে। এর ইনপুট এবং আউটপুট এককগুলো তথ্য গ্রহণ করতে সাহায্য করে। এর গাণিতিক এককটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এই এককটি অনেক সহজে জটিল হিসাব করতে পারে।

কম্পিউটারের ব্যবহার : বর্তমানে কম্পিউটার আমাদের জীবনের সব ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটা শিক্ষা ক্ষেত্রেও ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটা ফলাফল প্রস্তুত করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটা বই ছাপানো, পাঠ প্রস্তুত করা প্রভৃতি কাজে ব্যবহৃত হয়। কম্পিউটার রোগ নির্ণয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। প্রায় অধিকাংশ ডাক্তার রোগ নির্ণয় করতে কম্পিউটার ব্যবহার করে। কম্পিউটার প্রচার এবং গণমাধ্যমকে সাহায্য করে। এর জন্য সংবাদপত্র দ্রুত ছাপানো যায়। ব্যবসায়, 1 বাণিজ্য, কল-কারখানা, কৃষিখাতে কম্পিউটার ব্যবহার করা হয়। আধুনিক ব্যাংকিং পদ্ধতি ব্যাপকভাবে কম্পিউটারের উপর নির্ভর করে।

অসুবিধা: এর কিছু অসুবিধাও আছে। যেহেতু এটা সকল কাজ করছে, আমরা অলস হয়ে যাচ্ছি। পাশাপাশি, এটা বেকার সমস্যা বৃদ্ধি করছে। সুতরাং সামাজিক এবং জাতীয় সমস্যা বাড়ছে।

উপসংহার : পরিশেষে বলতে পারি যে আমরা কম্পিউটারের সাহায্য ছাড়া আমাদের জীবন কল্পনা করতে পারি না। এটা মানুষের কল্যাণের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। এটি আমাদের জীবনকে সহজ ও আরামপ্রিয় করেছে। এটা আমাদের সময়কে কমিয়েছে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, কম্পিউটার আবিষ্কার আমাদের জন্য একটি আশীর্বাদ।
