Introduction: The teacher who teaches the students in an easy manner and possesses some special qualities is an ideal teacher. He is an asset for the nation. He contributes a lot for the country. He plays for the nation building. The students respect and love him much. 

Qualities of an ideal teacher: An ideal teacher possesses some outstanding qualities. These qualities make him dear to his students. He has to cultivate these for his overall praise. These qualities help him to reach the perfection of teaching profession. The qualities of an ideal teacher are given below: 

Easy method of teaching: An ideal teacher has easy method of teaching. He will teach the students so easily that no student can read the lesson at home. He will make the will lesson enjoyable and charming. His students understand the lessons. He has to make the lesson simple. If any dull or weak student fails to understand, he will discuss the lesson until they are understood. Because of his easy and simple manner of teaching, an ideal teacher will be successful in imparting lessons to the students.

Knowledge of the subject: An ideal teacher must have proper knowledge of the subject. He will be clear in expressing any idea in the class room. He will not go to class with shallow or light knowledge. His sound knowledge on the subject will help the students understand the difficult subjects. 

Regular and dutiful in classes: An ideal teacher must be regular in classes. He will not be late. He will take preparations to attend classes in time. He will be dutiful in classes. He will not neglect his duty. He will complete his courses in time. He will give suggestions, make questions and help the students to answer these clearly and excellently. He will examine the answer scripts. He will give home task and extract the response of the students. 

Easy, soft and clear voice: A good teacher will possess easy, soft and clear voice. His gesture and posture should be like those of an actor. He will be distinct to the students. His voice will be enjoyable to all. If he is not clear in voice, his students will not be able to understand his class lectures. Thus a good teacher must possess soft and clear voice.

Preparation of classes: An ideal teacher will take preparation for classes. He will make lesson plan and chart. This will help him to impart knowledge in a logical and harmonious way. In fact, the lesson plan is a tool at the hands of an ideal teacher to make his lessons enjoyable to the young learners. -

Friendship with the students: An ideal teacher will maintain good relationship with his students. He will be their friend, philosopher and guide. He will not be rude to the students. His rough and harsh behaviour may beget the I students' ill-feelings. His cordiality and affection will easily attract the students. The student-teacher relation is the vital relation. An ideal teacher will have this relation. This relation will lead him to extract the debilities and weakness of the students. Finding these, he will endeavour to develop the students.

Man of principle: A good teacher has some cardinal principles. He will be truthful, bold, courageous and honest. He will speak the truth. He will be fresh, free and fair in his dealings. He will be religious and just. He has sound character. His students will be motivated by his moral principles. These will lead the students to the path of success in life. In fact the good principles of an ideal teacher will be the motto of his students.

Conclusion: An ideal teacher plays a vital role for the students. He will find out the hidden talent of the students. He will endeavour to flourish the merits of the students. He has the highest responsibility of building the nation. He must try to discharge his duty perfectly. If he can easily do these, the nation will owe to him permanently.

ভূমিকা : শিক্ষক যিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদেরকে সহজ নিয়মে শিক্ষাদেন এবং কিছু বিশেষ গুণাবলি জ্ঞাত করেন তিনি হলেন আদর্শ শিক্ষক। তিনি জাতির জন্য এক অমূল্য সম্পদ। তিনি দেশের জন্য অনেক অবদান রাখেন। তিনি জাতিগঠনে প্রচুর ভূমিকা পালন করেন। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা তাকে খুব শ্রদ্ধা করে ও ভালোবাসে ।

একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের গুণাবলি : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক কিছু সুবিদিত গুণাবলির অধিকারী। এ গুণাবলিই তাকে তার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কাছে প্রিয় করে তোলে। তার সর্বসমেত প্রশংসার জন্য তাকে অধ্যয়ন করতে হয়। এ গুণগুলো তার শিক্ষাগত পেশার সম্পূর্ণাবস্থায় পৌঁছাতে সাহায্য করে । একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের বৈশিষ্ট্য নিম্নে দেওয়া হলো :

শিক্ষা দেওয়ার সহজ রীতি : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের শিক্ষা দেওয়ার সহজ নিয়ম রয়েছে । তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের এমন সহজভাবে শিক্ষা দিবেন যেন পাঠটা কোন ছাত্রকে বাড়িতে পড়তে না হয়। তিনি পাঠকে উপভোগ্য এবং মনোমুগ্ধ করে তুলবেন। তার ছাত্রছাত্রীরা পাঠ বুঝতে পারবে। তাকে পাঠটি সহজ করতে হবে। যদি কোন খারাপ অথবা দুর্বল ছাত্র বুঝতে ব্যর্থ হয়, যতক্ষণ পর্যন্ত না তারা বুঝতে পারে ততক্ষণ তিনি পাঠটি আলোচনা করবেন। কারণ তার পড়ানোর সহজ এবং সাধারণ নিয়মের কারণে, একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক ছাত্রছাত্রীদের পাঠ দানে সফল হবেন।

বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞান : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের অবশ্যই বিষয় সম্পর্কে যথাযথ জ্ঞান থাকতে হবে । তিনি শ্রেণিকক্ষে কোন ধারণা প্রকাশে স্পষ্ট হবেন। তিনি সামান্য বা হালকা জ্ঞান নিয়ে শ্রেণিতে যাবেন না। তার কোন বিষয়ের গভীর জ্ঞান ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কঠিন বিষয় বুঝতে সাহায্য করবে।

শ্রেণিতে নিয়মিত এবং দায়িত্ববান হওয়া : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক অবশ্যই শ্রেণিতে নিয়মিত হবেন। তিনি দেরি করবেন না। তিনি সময়মত শ্রেণিতে অংশগ্রহণ করতে প্রস্তুতি নিবেন। তিনি শ্রেণিতে কর্তব্যপরায়ণ হবেন। তিনি তার দায়িত্বে অবহেলা করবেন না। তিনি তার কোর্স সময়মত শেষ করবেন। তিনি পরামর্শ দিবেন, প্রশ্ন তৈরি করবেন এবং ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সুস্পষ্টভাবে এবং চমৎকারভাবে উত্তর দিতে সাহায্য করবেন। তিনি উত্তরপত্র পরীক্ষা করবেন। তিনি বাসার কাজ দিবেন এবং ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উত্তর নিষ্কাশন করবেন।

সহজ, কোমল এবং স্পষ্ট কন্ঠস্বর : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক সহজ, কোমল এবং স্পষ্ট কন্ঠস্বরের অধিকারী হবেন। তার ভাবভঙ্গি একজন অভিনেতার মতো হওয়া উচিত। তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রতি দৃঢ় হবেন। তার কণ্ঠস্বর সবার কাছে উপভোগ্য হবে। যদি তার কন্ঠস্বর স্পষ্ট না হয়, ছাত্রছাত্রীরা শ্রেণিতে তার বক্তৃতা বুঝতে সক্ষম হবে না। সুতরাং একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের কোমল এবং স্পষ্ট কণ্ঠস্বর থাকতে হবে।

শ্রেণির প্রস্তুতি : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক ক্লাসের জন্য প্রস্তুতি নিবেন। তিনি পাঠ পরিকল্পনা এবং তালিকা তৈরি করবেন। এটা তাকে যুক্তিযুক্ত এবং সুসামঞ্জস্য উপায়ে জ্ঞান দান করতে সাহায্য করবে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, পাঠ পরিকল্পনা একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক তার পাঠ তরুণ শিক্ষার্থীদের কাছে উপভোগ করতে একটা হাতিয়ার ।

ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক তার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সাথে সুসম্পর্ক গড়ে তুলবেন। তিনি তাদের বন্ধু, দার্শনিক এবং পথপ্রদর্শক হবেন। তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রতি রূঢ় হবেন না। তার খারাপ এবং কর্কশ ব্যবহার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের খারাপ অনুভূতির জন্ম দিতে পারে। তার আন্তরিকতা এবং স্নেহপরায়ণতা সহজেই ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করবে। ছাত্র-শিক্ষক সম্পর্ক হলো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্ক। একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের এমন সম্পর্ক থাকতে হবে। এ সম্পর্ক দুর্বল এবং খারাপ ছাত্রদের পথ দেখাতে সাহায্য করবে। এগুলো খুঁজে পেলে, তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উন্নতি করতে চেষ্টা করবেন। 

নীতিবান : একজন শিক্ষকের কিছু মৌলিক নিয়মনীতি রয়েছে। তিনি সত্যবাদী, সাহসী, উৎসাহী এবং সৎ হবেন। তিনি সত্য কথা বলবেন। তিনি তার আচরণে সজীব, মুক্ত এবং সুন্দর হবেন। তিনি ধার্মিক এবং ন্যায়বান হবেন। তিনি উন্নত চরিত্রের অধিকারী হবেন। তার ছাত্রছাত্রীরা তার নৈতিক আচরণের মাধ্যমে চালিত হবেন। এগুলো ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জীবন সফলতার পথে ধাবিত করবে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষকের নীতি তার ছাত্রছাত্রীদের নীতিবাক্য হবে ।

উপসংহার : একজন আদর্শ শিক্ষক ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেন। তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সুপ্ত প্রতিভা খুঁজে বের করেন। তিনি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের মেধার উন্নতি করতে চেষ্টা করেন। তাঁর জাতি গঠনের সর্বোচ্চ দায়দায়িত্ব আছে। তিনি অবশ্যই তার দায়িত্ব সুন্দরভাবে সম্পন্ন করতে চেষ্টা করবেন। যদি তিনি সহজে এগুলো করতে পারেন, জাতি স্থায়ীভাবে তার কাছে ঋণী থাকবে।
