Essay - The College Magazine

Introduction: The college magazine is a magazine which is published annually. It contains poems, novels, dramas, short stories etc. It is a part of the students' learning along with their curriculum activities. The college magazine embodies the overall milieu of the institution.  

Its character: The college magazine is a magazine published internally by the college authority. The students take part an active role in bringing this to light. The students along with their teachers write for this magazine. Its circulations are confined to the students and teachers. The magazine also publishes articles on sports, results of the examination in college and its other matters. Indeed it portrays an overall picture of the college.  

Its Publication: The publication of the college magazine is not highly expensive. It is a very interesting work. The teachers as well as the students work for its publication. A committee is formed for this. This committee consists of nine members, three teachers and six students. Among them one is selected editor. The Principal of the college is the chief patron who helps the committee in all respects.  

The members draw the attention of other promising writers. They verbally inform the students or hung the notices on the boards to attract the students' attention. The magazine fund is collected partly from the students and partly from the allocation of the college internal budget. When the writings are collected, the editorial board selects the suitable writings and edits them closely. Then the selected ones are sent to the press for printing and binding. The members of the committee supervise the printing work of the magazine.  

Its contains: The college magazine contains poems, essays, short-stories, one act play, jokes, humorous pieces etc. The editor writes a special note on this occasion. The Principal of the college also writes an important supplementary. The prominent govt. officials including the Director General of 5 Education and the Chairman of the Education Board express their feelings on the occasion of its publication. The college magazine also contains the photos of the active teachers, officials, employees etc. In fact, the magazine becomes a great document of every detail in college.  

Importance: The college magazine serves a great purpose. It helps to develop the students potentialities. It helps to create good writers. It helps the students to boost up their thinking and reasoning power. It makes them fit to manage anything. The students can show their skill and performance. When the students see their writings on it, they become elated. They get inspiration to concentrate on studies. It also brings the students together and creates a sense of responsibility. It helps the students to do well in extra academic activities. Thus the college magazine plays a vital role for the development of the students. 

Conclusion: The college magazine reveals the creative talent of the students. It is a part of the students' knowledge. They may gain originality of expression and exposition. It must be published every year in time.

ভূমিকা: কলেজ মাগাজিন হচ্ছে একটি সাময়িকার যেটা বাৎসরিকভাবে প্রকাশিত হয়। এর মধ্যে কবিতা, উপন্যাস, নাটক, ছোটগল্প প্রকৃতি থাকে। এটা ছাত্রছাত্রীদের পাঠ্যসূচি কার্যক্রমের সাথে শিক্ষার একটি অংশ। কলেজের সাময়িক পত্রিকা প্রতিষ্ঠানের সার্বিক পারিপার্শ্বিক অবস্থা প্রকাশ করে। 

এর বৈশিষ্ট্য: কলেজ ম্যাগাজিন হচ্ছে একটি সাময়িকপত্র যা কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষের মাধ্যমে আভ্যন্তরিকভাবে প্রকাশিত হয়। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা একটি ম্যাগাজিন প্রকাশ করতে সক্রিয় ভূমিকা পালন করে। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা তাদের শিক্ষকদের সাথে ম্যাগাজিন প্রকাশ করার জন্য লেখালেখি করে। এর পরিবেশন ছাত্রছাত্রী এবং শিক্ষকদের মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ থাকে। ম্যাগাজিনটি খেলাধুলা, কলেজে পরীক্ষার ফলাফল এবং অন্যান্য বিষয়ের উপরও প্রকাশ করা হয়। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, এটা একটি কলেজের সার্বিক চিত্র বর্ণনা করে। 

এর প্রকাশনা: কলেজ ম্যাগাজিনের প্রকাশনা বেশি ব্যয়বহুল নয়। এটা একটি আনন্দদায়ক কাজ। শিক্ষক এবং ছাত্রীরা এটি প্রকাশনার জন্য কাজ করে। এর জন্য একটি কমিটি গঠিত হয়। এ কমিটি নয় সদস্য, তিনজন শিক্ষক এবং নিয়ে গঠিত হয়। তাদের মধ্যে একজন সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত হন। কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ প্রধান পৃষ্ঠপোষক যিনি সব দিক থেকে কমিটিকে সাহায্য করেন। সদস্যরা অন্য সম্ভাবনাময় লেখকদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে। তারা মৌখিকভাবে ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জ্ঞাত করে অথবা ছাত্রছাত্রীদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করতে বিজ্ঞপ্তি বোর্ডে ঝুলিয়ে দেয়া হয়। ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কাছ থেকে আংশিক ম্যাগাজিন তহবিল সংগ্রহ করা হয় এবং আংশিক কলেজের অভ্যন্তরীণ বাজেট বণ্টন থেকে  করা হয়। যখন লেখালেখিগুলো সংগ্রহ করা হয়, সম্পাদকীয় বোর্ড ভালো লেখাগুলো নির্বাচন করে এবং মনোযোগসহকারে সেগুলো সম্পাদনা করে। তারপর সেগুলো ছাপানো এবং বাঁধানোর জন্য ছাপাখানায় পাঠানো হয়। কমিটির সদস্যরা ম্যাগাজিনের ছাপার কাজ তদারক করে।  

এর অন্তর্ভুক্ত : কলেজ ম্যাগাজিনে কবিতা, প্রবন্ধ, ছোটগল্প, একাত্মিকা, কৌতুক, হাস্যকৌতুক প্রভৃতি অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকে। সম্পাদক এ উপলক্ষে একটি বিশেষ সংক্ষিপ্ত বিবরণ লেখেন। কলেজের অধ্যক্ষও একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অতিরিক্ত বিবরণী লেখেন। নামকরা সরকারি কর্মচারীসহ শিক্ষার ডাইরেক্টর জেনারেল এবং শিক্ষা বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান তাদের অনুভূতি এ প্রকাশনা উপলক্ষে প্রকাশ করেন। কলেজ ম্যাগাজিন কর্মরত শিক্ষক, কর্মচারীবৃন্দ, চাকরিজীবীদের ছবি অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, ম্যাগাজিনটি কলেজের  

গুরুত্ব : কলেজ ম্যাগাজিন একটি মহৎ উদ্দেশ্যে কাজ করে। এটা ছাত্রছাত্রীদের কর্মশক্তিকে উন্নত করতে সহায়তা করে। এটা ভালো লেখক সৃষ্টি করতে সাহায্য করে। এটা ছাত্রছাত্রীদের চিন্তা এবং বিচারশক্তি বৃদ্ধি করতে সাহায্য করে। এটা তাদের কোন কিছু পরিচালনা করার জন্য উপযুক্ত করে। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা তাদের দক্ষতা এবং সম্পাদনা দেখতে পারে। যখন ছাত্রছাত্রীরা এতে তাদের লেখা দেখতে পায়, তারা গবির্ত হয়। তারা পড়াশুনায় মনোযোগ নিতে অনুপ্রেরণা পায়। এটি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের একত্র করে এবং দায়দায়িত্বের অনুভূতি তৈরি করে। এটি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ভালোভাবে অতিরিক্ত প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক কাজ করতে সাহায্য করে। এভাবে কলেজ ম্যাগাজিন ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উন্নতির জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।  

উপসংহার: কলেজ ম্যাগাজিন ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সৃজনশীল মেধা প্রকাশ করে। এটি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জ্ঞানের একটি অংশ। তারা প্রকাশ এবং ব্যাখার মৌলিকত্ব লাভ করতে পারে। এটা অবশ্যই প্রত্যেক বছর সময়মতো প্রকাশ হতে হবে।
