Essay - Transport System in Bangladesh

Introduction: Communication means the transport of men, products and other things from one place to another. Our communication system has developed now-a-days to a greater extent. All round steps should be taken to improve our communication system.  

Communication system in Bangladesh: Bangladesh is an independent country. Before its independence, we were deprived by our colonial rulers. After our independence, our government is trying its heartiest best to improve the communication system. At present there are four types of communication system in our country. These are as follows: 

Road transport: Road transport system in the main part of our communication system. Formerly most of our roads were muddy. But now-a-days almost all of our roads are metalled. In rural areas, muddy roads are still found. All the district and thana headquarters are road-linked. Various vehicles like trucks, buses, motor cars, cycle etc. ply on the roads. Our people can go from one place to another through these roads. 

Railway transport: Another important system of our communication is railway. The railway connects almost all the districts though some districts lack it. At present there are 510 railway stations in our country. Now public and private trains are running in these railway lines. Our railway lines are divided into meter gauge and broad gauge. 

Water transport: Bangladesh is a land of rivers. These rivers play a vital role for our communication. The boats, steamers, launches etc. ply on these rivers. These carry passengers and goods from one place to another. This system is cheaper than any other transport system in our country. In our country, there are 8400 kilometers fit river ways and 107 launch and ferry stations at present. These rivers also play important role to cross the vehicles of highway from one side to other sides by ferry.  

Air way: We have air communication system. Bangladesh Biman runs this system both internally and internationally. This is the quickest transport system but is very costly. All citizens cannot take the airways. Few districts are connected by this way. However our government is trying to improve the airways. 

Importance of our transport: Our transport system plays a vital role for our communication of both man and things. The installment of industry, the development of trade and commerce, the transport of agricultural products, and our overall transport depends on these communication systems. Our farmers can easily carry their products to different markets. Thus our all round development depends on the communication system. This communication system has made our country small. We have to make this system smooth and easy.

Measures of improvement: Communication plays a praiseable role for the all round prosperity of a country. We have to improve our communication system. Our government has taken proper steps in this case. Our roads are being metalled. Rail cars have been introduced. A good number of buses and double Decker buses have been imported. They are running on the roads. Our country is also producing parts, equipments for different vehicles. The dock-yards at Narayanganj and Dhaka are manufacturing passenger launches.  

Conclusion: Transport system helps to boost up our all-round progress. We should to develop a sound communication system. Thus we should take concerted efforts for its try sound network.

রচনা - বাংলাদেশের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা  

ভূমিকা : যোগাযোগ বলতে মানুষ, উৎপন্ন দ্রব্য এবং অন্যান্য পণ্য এক জায়গা থেকে অন্য জায়গায় পরিবহন করা বুঝায়। আমাদের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা বর্তমানে ব্যাপক উন্নত হয়েছে। আমাদের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার আরো উন্নতি করতে সকল পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করা উচিত ।  

বাংলাদেশের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা : বাংলাদেশ একটি স্বাধীন দেশ। স্বাধীনতার আগে, আমরা ঔপনিবেশিক শাসকদের দ্বারা বঞ্চিত হতাম। আমাদের স্বাধীনতার পরে, আমাদের সরকার যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার উন্নতি করতে আস্ত রিক চেষ্টা করছে। বর্তমানে আমাদের দেশে চার ধরনের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা আছে। নিম্নে আলোচনা করা হলো :  

সড়ক পরিবহন : সড়ক পরিবহন আমাদের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার প্রধান অংশ। ইতোপূর্বে আমাদের অধিকাংশ রাস্তাঘাট কর্দমাক্ত ছিল। কিন্তু বর্তমানে আমাদের অধিকাংশ রাস্তাঘাট পাকা সড়ক। গ্রামগুলোতে কাঁচারাস্তা এখনো পাওয়া যায়। সকল জেলা এবং থানাসদরগুলো রাস্তা সংযোজিত। বিভিন্ন যানবাহন যেমন- ট্রাক, বাস, মোটর কার, সাইকেল প্রভৃতি রাস্তা দিয়ে চালিত হয়। আমাদের জনগণ এ রাস্তা দিয়ে একজায়গা থেকে অন্য জায়গায় যেতে পারে।  

রেলপরিবহন : অন্য আর একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পরিবহন হলো আমাদের রেলপথ। রেলপথ প্রায় সব জেলায় সংযুক্ত রয়েছে যদিও কিছু জেলায় এখানো অভাব আছে। বর্তমানে আমাদের দেশে ৫১০টি রেলস্টেশন রয়েছে। এখন এ রেলপথে সরকারি এবং বেসরকারি ট্রেন চলাচল করছে। আমাদের রেলপথ মিটার গেজ এবং ব্রড গেজে বিভক্ত।  

জলপরিবহন : বাংলাদেশ নদীমাতৃক দেশ। এ নদী আমাদের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখে। নৌকা, স্টিমার, লঞ্চ প্রভৃতি নদীতে চলে। এগুলো একজায়গা থেকে অন্য জায়গায় পণ্য এবং যাত্রী পরিবহন করে। 1 আমাদের দেশে এ পদ্ধতি অন্য পদ্ধতির চেয়ে সুবিধা এবং সস্তা। আমাদের দেশে আট হাজার চার শত কিলোমিটার নদীপথ রয়েছে এবং বর্তমান ১০৭টি লঞ্চ এবং ফেরিঘাট রয়েছে। এ নদীগুলোও প্রধান সড়ক পথের যানবাহনগুলো ফেরিতে করে পারাপার করতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।  

আকাশ পথ : আমাদের আকাশ যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশ বিমান দেশের মধ্যে এবং আন্তর্জাতিক উভয়ভাবে চলে। এটা সবচেয়ে দ্রুত পরিবহন ব্যবস্থা কিন্তু ব্যয়বহুল। সকলে বিমানপথে গমন করতে পারে না। স্বল্প সংখ্যক r জেলাতে এটি সংযুক্ত । যাহোক আমাদের সরকার এ ব্যবস্থার উন্নতি চেষ্টা করছে। আমাদের পরিবহনের গুরুত্ব : আমাদের পরিবহন ব্যবস্থা আমাদের মানুষ এবং পণ্য উভয়ের জন্য অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে। কলকারখানা পরিচালনা, ব্যবসায় বাণিজ্যের উন্নতি, কৃষিপণ্যের পরিবহন এবং আমাদের সব পরিবহন ব্যবস্থা নির্ভর করে। আমাদের কৃষকেরা বিভিন্ন বাজারে পণ্য পরিবহন করতে পারে। যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা আমাদের দেশকে ছোট করেছে। আমাদের এ পদ্ধতিকে সুন্দর এবং সহজ করতে হবে।  

উন্নয়নের উপায় : একটি দেশের সব উন্নতির জন্য যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা  প্রশংশনীয় ভূমিকা পালন করে। আমাদেরকে আমাদের যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার - উন্নতি করতে হবে। আমাদের সরকার এ বিষয়ে যথাযথ পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে। আমাদের রাস্তাঘাট হচ্ছে। রেল গাড়ির উন্নতি হয়েছে। অনেক বাস এবং ডবল ডেকের বাস আমদানি হয়েছে। সেগুলো রাস্তায় চলছে। আমাদের দেশ বিভিন্ন যন্ত্রাংশ সরঞ্জাম উৎপাদন করছে। জাহাজ নির্মাণ ও মেরামত কারখানা নারায়ণগঞ্জে এবং ঢাকায় যাত্রীবাহী লঞ্চ উৎপাদন করছে।  

 উপসংহার: পরিববহন ব্যবস্থা আমাদের সব উন্নতি করতে সহায়তা করে। আমাদের একটি নিরাপদ যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা করা উচিত। সুতরাং আমাদের নিরাপদ যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থার জন্য উপযুক্ত চেষ্টা করা উচিত।
