Essay - Female Education

Introduction: Female education is the crying need. There can be no valid argument for keeping the females uneducated. To get the acme of perfection, both male and female education must be ensured. Now-a-days all thinking people are of the view that female education is essential for the over-all progress.  

Females are part of human race: Man is the best creation of Almighty. Here 'man' means both male and female. Our creator has endowed human beings with rationality and sanity. To develop and flourish these rare phenomena, both male and female must be educated. Education ennobles our mind and develops our sensibility. And our female section must have the right to educate themselves for the improvement of their faculties.  

Education should be universalized: Education means the mental and intellectual right. Everyone has the right to get education. It refines and enlightens human beings. Every great persons of the world have put higher importance on education. Without education, man is like a beast. Ignorance is a great evil. It disparages a man. Education leads a man to a higher state. God himself has made education compulsory for every human being. Thus education should be universal. It is an abominable act to make education available for a section. Thus our female folk must be given equal opportunity to peruse education like man.  

View against female education: It is inevitable that keeping female section uneducated, no nation can stand upright. There are some people who argue against female education. They argue if they are educated they will overlook their duties. They will involve them in reading. As a result, the domestic chores will be ignored by them. Secondly, they argue female education means a waste of time, money and energy. Thirdly, if the females are educated, they will demean their ordained duty of rearing children and caring husbands. However, it can definitely be said that these are baseless arguments and we have to shake off these lame excuses.  

Reasons for education of women: Female education has manifold blessings. It will be a source of our energy and potentialities. As females are the half of our share, their education means a great wealth for us. Because, an educated woman is an educated mother. She can easily rear children. She can provide better care and nutrition for her husband and other inmates of the house. Secondly, an educated mother is an earner. She can boost up the economy of a family. Thirdly, an educated woman can easily decide about the good prospects of a family. Fourthly, an educated mother can educate her children well. They can give an educated nation. Fifthly, an educated woman can be a proper citizen. She can take the responsibility for the betterment of a nation. Now-a- days, we see that educated women are becoming pilots, doctors, engineers, social workers etc.  

Ways to be taken for this: As a civilized nation, we must ensure female education. We should shun our prejudices against female education. Religious restrictions should not be imposed here. We should set up sufficient institutions for educating our girls. We have to create opportunities for them. We must stop early marriage. Realizing the importance of female education, our government has taken female stipend programme and free education for the women.  

Conclusion: Female education is vitally important for establishing a civilized nation. They should not be deprived of it. All steps should be taken to ensure education for females. If females are educated, we will be able to raise our head in a dignified way among the developed nations. 

রচনা- নারী শিক্ষা

ভূমিকা: নারী শিক্ষা জরুরি প্রয়োজন। নারীকে অশিক্ষিত রাখার কোন যুক্তিসঙ্গত কারণ নেই। চরম উৎকর্ষতা লাভের জন্য, নারী ও পুরুষ উভয়ের শিক্ষাকে অবশ্যই নিশ্চয়তা বিধান করতে হবে। সার্বিক চিন্তাশীল লোকদের মতে সার্বিক উন্নয়নের জন্য নারী শিক্ষা অপরিহার্য।  

নারীরা মানব জাতির অংশ: মানুষ সর্বশক্তিমানের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ সৃষ্টি। এখানে 'মানুষ' বলতে নর ও নারী উভয়কেই বুঝানো হয়েছে। আমাদের স্রষ্টা মনুষ্য জাতিকে যৌক্তিকতা ও বিচার বুদ্ধির সুস্থতা দান করেছেন। এই বিরল বিস্ময়কর বস্তু উন্নয়ন ও সমৃদ্ধির জন্য নারী ও পুরুষ উভয়কেই অবশ্যই শিক্ষিত করে তুলতে হবে। শিক্ষা আমাদের মনকে সমর্থ ও বোধশক্তিকে উৎকর্ষ করে এবং আমাদের মহিলা গোষ্ঠীকে তাদের শক্তিকে উন্নীত করার জন্য নিজেদের শিক্ষিত করে তুলতে তাদের অবশ্যই অধিকার থাকতে হবে। 

শিক্ষা সর্বজনীন হওয়া উচিত: শিক্ষার অর্থ মানসিক ও বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক অধিকার। সবারই শিক্ষা পাওয়ার অধিকার আছে। এটি মানব জাতিকে পরিশুদ্ধ ও আলোকিত করে। বিশ্বের প্রত্যেক মহান ব্যক্তিই শিক্ষার উপর উচ্চতর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেছেন। শিক্ষাবিহীন মানুষ পশুর তুল্য। অজ্ঞতা মহা অপরাধ। এটি মানুষকে অবমূল্যায়ন করে। শিক্ষা মানুষকে উচ্চতর মর্যাদায় নিয়ে যায়। ঈশ্বর প্রত্যেক মানব জাতির জন্য নিজেই শিক্ষাকে বাধ্যতমূলক করেছেন। তাই শিক্ষা সর্বজনীন হওয়া উচিত। একটি গোষ্ঠীর জন্য শিক্ষার সুযোগ করা এটা একটি গর্হিত কাজ। এভাবে আমাদের নারী জাতিকে পুরুষের মতো অবশ্যই শিক্ষা লাভের সমান সুযোগ প্রদান করা উচিত।  

নারী শিক্ষার বিরুদ্ধে মত: এটি অপরিহার্য যে মহিলা গোষ্ঠীকে অশিক্ষিত রেখে - কোন জাতি সোজা হয়ে দাঁড়াতে পারে না। কিছু লোক আছে যারা নারী শিক্ষার বিরুদ্ধে যুক্তি প্রদান করেন। তারা যুক্তি দেন যে যদি তারা শিক্ষিত হয়, তাহলে তারা তাদের কর্তব্য এড়িয়ে যাবে। তারা তাদেরকে পড়াশুনায় মগ্ন রাখবে। ফলে, তারা গৃহস্থালির কাজ উপেক্ষা করবে। দ্বিতীয়ত, তারা যুক্তি দেন যে নারী শিক্ষার অর্থ সময়, অর্থ ও শক্তির অপচয়। তৃতীয়ত, যদি মহিলারা শিক্ষিত হয়, তাহলে সন্তান প্রতিপালন ও স্বামীর সেবার মতো নির্ধারিত কর্তব্যগুলো প্রতিপালনে হেয় জ্ঞান করে। যাহোক, এটি নিশ্চিতভাবে বলা যেতে পারে যে এগুলো ভিত্তিহীন যুক্তি এবং আমাদের এই খোঁড়া অজুহাতগুলো ঝেড়ে ফেলে দিতে হবে।  

নারী শিক্ষার পক্ষে যুক্তি: নারী শিক্ষার বহুমুখী আশীর্বাদ আছে। এটি আমাদের শক্তি ও সম্ভাবনার উৎস হতে পারে। যেহেতু নারীরা আমাদের অর্ধেক অংশীদার, তাদের শিক্ষা অর্থ আমাদের জন্য বড় সম্পদ। কারণ, একজন শিক্ষিত নারী একজন শিক্ষিত মাতা। তিনি সহজেই সন্তান প্রতিপালন করতে পারেন। তিনি তার স্বামীর জন্য অতিকতর যত্ন ও পুষ্টির যোগান দিতে পারেন এবং অতিরিক্ত সহনিবাসী হতে পারেন। দ্বিতীয়ত, একজন শিক্ষিত মা রোজগেরে হতে পারেন। তিনি একটি পরিবারের অর্থনৈতিক উন্নতি সাধন করতে পারেন। তৃতীয়ত, একজন শিক্ষিত নারী সহজেই একটি পরিবারের ভালো সমৃদ্ধির ব্যাপারে সিদ্ধান্ত নিতে পারেন। চতুর্থত, একজন শিক্ষিত মা তার সন্তানদের ভালোভাবে শিক্ষা দিতে পারেন। তারা একটি শিক্ষিত জাতি উপহার দিতে পারেন। পঞ্চমত, একজন শিক্ষিত নারী একজন যথাযথ নাগরিক হতে পারেন। তিনি একটি জাতির মঙ্গলের জন্য দায়িত্ব নিতে পারেন। আজকাল, আমরা দেখছি যে শিক্ষিত নারীরা বৈমানিক, চিকিৎসক, প্রকৌশলী, সমাজকর্মী ইত্যাদি হচ্ছেন। বস্তুত, নারী শিক্ষার উপকারিতা অসীম। একজন অজ্ঞ মাতা তার স্বামী ও পরিবারের কাছে বোঝা স্বরূপ। তাই নারীদের উপযুক্ত শিক্ষা প্রদান করা উচিত।

এজন্য যেসব পন্থা গ্রহণ করা যেতে পারে: সভ্য জতি হিসেবে, আমাদের অবশ্যই নারী শিক্ষার নিশ্চয়তা বিধান করতে হবে। নারী শিক্ষার বিরুদ্ধে আমাদের কুসংস্কারগুলো বর্জন করা উচিত। এখানে ধর্মীয় নিষেধাজ্ঞাগুলো আরোপ করা উচিত নয়। আমাদের মেয়েদের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান প্রতিষ্ঠা করা উচিত । তাদের জন্য আমাদের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করতে হবে। আমরা বাল্য বিবাহ অবশ্যই রোধ করব। নারী শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব উপলব্ধি করে, আমাদের সরকার নারীদের জন্য বৃত্তি প্রদান কর্মসূচি ও বিনা বিতনে শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করেছে।  

উপসংহার: একটি সভ্য জাতি গঠনের জন্য নারী শিক্ষা অপরিহার্যভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। তাদের এটি থেকে বঞ্চিত হওয়া উচিত নয়। নারী শিক্ষার জন্য সকল পদক্ষেপ নিশ্চিত করা উচিত। যদি নারীরা শিক্ষিত হয়, তাহলে আমরা উন্নত জাতির মধ্যে মর্যাদার সাথে আমাদের মাথা তুলতে সমর্থ হবো।
