Tourist and attractive places in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is located in the north-eastern part of South Asia. The majestic Himalayas sit some distance to the north, while in the south lies the Bay of Bengal. West Bengal  boundaries on the west and in the east lies the hilly and forested regions of Tripura, Mizoram (India) and Myanmar.

Bangladesh's tourist attractions include
historical monuments, resorts, beaches,
picnic spots, forests and tribal people, and
wildlife of various species. Activities for
tourists include angling, water skiing, river cruising, hiking, rowing, para sailing and sea bathing.

In the northern part, comprising the Rajshahi and Rangpur division, there are archaeological sites, including the temple city Puthia in Rajshahi; the largest and ancient archaeological site, Mahasthangarh in Bogra; the single largest Buddhist monastery, Paharpur in Naogaon; the most ornamental terracotta Hindu temple, Kantaji Temple, and many rajbaris or palaces of old zamindars.
