The  arrival of Bengali New Year is observed with cheerful mood throughout the country. The Day(mid-April) is a public  vacation. utmost  various gatherings are organized along with artistic programs and traditional foods. Different  events, boat races, debates, etc. Are held amidst great jubilation. expositions are integral  corridor of the  festivity. Traditional  papers like bamboo flutes,  complexion dolls,  complexion pots, and home  scenery accessories are traded together with suitable present- day goods.  

The  festivity of Pahela Baishakh traces its roots during the Mughal rule in the region with the proclamation of  duty collection reforms by Emperor Akbar. The  jubilee date is set according to the lunisolar Bengali  timetable as the first day of its first- month Boishakh. It  thus  nearly always falls on or about 14 April every time on the Gregorian  timetable. The same day is observed away as the traditional solar new time and a crop  jubilee and is known by other names  similar as Vaisakhi in central and north India, Ugadi in South India Vishu in Kerala, and Puthandu in Tamil Nadu. The  jubilee is celebrated with processions,  expositions, and family time.

The traditional greeting for Bengali New Year is Shubho Noboborsho" which is literally" Happy New Year". The  gleeful Mangal Shobhajatra is organized in Bangladesh. In 2016, the UNESCO declared this festivity organized by the Faculty of Fine trades, the University of Dhaka as a artistic heritage of humanity.
