July 24 Quota Movement/ Student People's Uprising

The 2024 Bangladesh quota reform movement was a series of anti-government and pro-democracy protests in Bangladesh. This movement was initiated primarily by university students. At first they focused on restructuring quota-based systems for government job recruitment but the movement expanded against autocratic government. The fascist government brutally killed protestors and civilians, most of whom were students. Then the student movement escalated and later culminated into a fully-fledged mass uprising known as the Student–People's uprising. Ruling party activists brutally attacked quota protesters at Dhaka University. They also attacked wounded demonstrators who were being taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. More than ten thousands were injured. More than thousands were killed in fierce clashes between protesting students and law enforcers joined in by ruling party activists in nationwide. Pile of students' dead bodies were burnt.
